Templates overview

Templates in Alphana are pre-designed setups that let you generate an entire workflow of content by creating a batch of AI cards at the same time. This saves you the effort of prompting each AI card individually, ensuring your content remains consistent and your process efficient. With templates, you can customize:

  • AI cards: Choose which AI cards to use.

  • Custom prompts: Set specific prompts within AI cards.

  • Order of cards: Arrange the AI cards in the desired sequence.

  • Titles of cards: Assign titles to each AI card.

Why use templates?

  • Consistency: Ensures your content looks uniform across different pieces.

  • Efficiency: Reduces the time spent setting up configurations each time.

  • Ease of Use: Simplifies the creation process by reusing the same setup.

How to create and save a template:

  1. Use an existing project:

    • Set up your project with the desired configurations.

    • Configure AI cards, custom prompts, order of cards, and titles.

  2. Save as template:

    • Once your project is configured, click the 3 dot ellipses menu.

    • Select "Save as Template".

    • Name your template clearly and descriptively.

    • Your template will be saved to your template library.

How to use a saved template:

  1. Create a new project:

    • Click the "Create New" button to start a new project.

    • In the command box overlay, your saved templates will appear.

  2. Select a template:

    • Choose the template you want to use for your new project.

    • The selected template will apply its configurations to your new project.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I create a template without creating a project first?

A: No, you need to set up an existing project and configure it as desired before saving it as a template.

Q: How many templates can I create?

A: You can create an unlimited number of templates.

Q: Can I share templates with others?

A: No, templates cannot be shared directly. However, you can share a specific project with someone, and when they receive that project, they can save it as a template.

Q: What is the benefit of using templates over individual AI cards?

A: Templates allow you to generate a batch of AI cards simultaneously, creating an entire workflow of content at once, which saves time and ensures consistency.

Q: Can I reuse a source for multiple templates without re-uploading it each time?

A: Yes, you can duplicate each project or app to reuse the same source without consuming additional credits. You can then add or remove AI cards to get different content from the same video, although generating new cards will consume credits.

Q: Is it possible to edit templates before generating content?

A: Yes, by duplicating any existing project, adding or removing AI cards, and editing the “App Instructions.” Once you're done, save the new workflow as a template.

Q: How can I manage my AI credits while using multiple templates?

A: By duplicating projects and reusing sources, you minimize AI credits consumption. Only generating new AI cards will consume credits, allowing you to create more templates efficiently.

Q: Will there be future improvements for creating templates?

A: Yes, there are plans to allow the reuse of existing sources and videos, expected later this year. We will notify everyone once it is ready or up next on the roadmap.

By using templates, you can streamline your content creation process, maintain consistency across your projects, and save valuable time.
