  3. Select Custom Instructions.

  4. Enter your instructions and save.

    • Note: Currently, you need to visit an individual project to update your global settings.

Frequently asked questions

What is the benefit of using custom instructions?

Custom instructions allow you to tailor the AI’s content creation to match your specific preferences, ensuring consistency and alignment with your goals across all projects.

What’s the difference between global and app instructions?

Global Instructions apply to all projects, providing a universal setting. App Instructions are specific to individual projects and can override Global Instructions for those particular projects.

Do changes to custom instructions apply to new projects?

Yes, changes to custom instructions will apply to new projects. For existing projects, you need to manually regenerate each AI card to apply the new instructions.

Can I disable global instructions for certain projects?

Yes, you can disable global instructions for specific projects. Turn off the global instructions toggle in the custom instructions sidebar before generating a new project.

If I change or delete my custom instructions, will old versions still appear in my project when creating new content?

No, removing instructions will not affect new content cards, as they do not store a history. New cards will use only the new instructions. Cards generated with old instructions will remain the same unless manually regenerated. To clear custom instructions from previous AI cards, regenerate those cards.

Q: How can I correct the spelling of words that the AI misinterprets or misspells?

A: As a workaround, you can add custom instructions in your global or app-specific settings to correct these words. For example, you can specify, “Anytime you see the word ‘XYZ’, please spell it as ‘ABC’.” After updating your instructions, regenerate the affected AI cards to apply the changes.

Q: How can I ensure the AI correctly identifies speakers in the transcript?

A: You can add custom instructions in your global or app-specific settings to correctly identify speakers. For example, specify, “Speaker 0 is John Doe and Speaker 1 is Jane Doe.” After updating your instructions, regenerate the affected AI cards to apply the changes.

By setting custom instructions, you ensure Alphana creates content that meets your specific needs, making your content creation process more efficient and aligned with your goals.
