Before you start
Go to visuals.alphana.ai
Make sure you have credits available (your balance is shown in the top navigation)
Step 1: Confirm you’re in Visuals
You should see navigation like:
Create
My Library
Catalog
Explore
If you’re on app.alphana.ai, that’s Alphana Studio (a different product).
Step 2: Pick what you want to create
Go to Create and choose one of the main asset types:
Cover Art & Images
Spotify Canvas & Loop Videos
Lyric Video
Show Poster / Flyer
Tip: If you just want the fastest first win, start with Cover Art & Images or Spotify Canvas & Loop Videos.
Step 3: Add song context (optional, but recommended)
If you want visuals that match a specific track, upload/select your song in Catalog, then select it in Create.
When you upload a track, Visuals can analyze it (tone, energy, pacing) to guide song-driven outputs like:
Cover art generated from the song
Spotify Canvas loops generated from the song
Lyric video visuals
If you don’t upload a song, you can still generate visuals from a prompt (and reference images).
Step 4: Add reference images (optional)
Reference images help you guide what the AI generates.
Use them if you want to:
Match an existing cover art style
Keep a release visually consistent
Use your own artist photos in the output
Combine multiple people or objects into a single image
Tips:
If you want a specific person to appear in the image, upload that person as a reference image and say it clearly in your prompt (example: “Use the person in my reference photo as the main subject”).
You can upload multiple reference images to blend style, people, and objects together.
Step 5: Write a clear prompt
A good prompt usually includes:
Subject (what’s on screen)
Mood (how it should feel)
Style (how it should look)
Motion (only if you’re making video)
Examples:
Cover Art
Minimal black background, bold red accent, single silhouette, studio lighting, clean modern design
Spotify Canvas loop
Neon city street at night, light rain, cinematic, subtle camera drift, seamless loop, soft glow
Quick tip:
If you’re clicking the preset buttons (genre, mood, style) and it still isn’t giving you what you want, write exactly what you want in plain language. The clearer you are, the better the result.
Step 6: Choose your settings
Depending on what you’re creating, you may see options like:
Genre / Mood / Style selections
Aspect ratio (for video or posters)
Duration (for Spotify Canvas loops)
Visibility (Private or Public)
Step 7: Generate
Click Generate.
You’ll see the credit cost before the generation runs.
Step 8: Find and download your result
Your output will appear in My Library.
From there, you can:
Download/export
Remix to generate variations
Keep it private or make it public
Common first-time issues in Visuals
My results don’t match what I want
Try these quick fixes:
Add 1–2 reference images
Make your prompt more specific (subject + style + mood)
Keep the style consistent between generations
My video doesn’t loop smoothly
Seamless Loop only works with the Luma Ray-2 model.
If Seamless Loop creates weird or unwanted artifacts, try turning it off and generating again to compare results.
Avoid prompts that imply hard cuts or sudden transitions
I don’t have enough credits
You can still view and download existing assets, but you’ll need more credits to generate new ones.
FAQs
What’s the fastest thing to generate first in Visuals?
Cover Art & Images or Spotify Canvas & Loop Videos are usually the quickest.
Do I need a song uploaded to use Visuals?
Not always. You can generate from prompts and reference images. Uploading a song helps when you want song-aware outputs.
Where do my generations go in Visuals?
Everything you generate is saved in My Library.
Do I lose credits if I don’t like the result in Visuals?
Credits are consumed when generation runs. If a generation fails due to an error, credits may be returned (see Refunds and failed generations).
Can I use my results commercially in Visuals?
Commercial rights depend on your plan. Free plans are for testing and exploring. All paid plans include full commercial use rights. See alphana.ai/legal/terms.
