Visuals.fm Release Notes - 07.08.2026

Share links rebuilt: previews carry your name and the idea behind the work, videos play inline in iMessage, and anyone you send it to can remix it. Plus assets that finally show at their true aspect ratio.

What's New in Visuals

When you send someone a link to something you made in Visuals, that link now sells the work for you.

Before, a share link was a bare page with a generic preview. You'd paste it to an artist, a manager, or a client, and they'd see a plain card that told them nothing about what was on the other side. Now the link carries your name and the idea behind the piece, videos play right inside the message, and the person you sent it to can pick the work up and run with it.

Share pages, rebuilt

The preview does the work

Paste a share link into a message or a social post and the preview now shows the creator's name and a snippet of the prompt behind the work. Before, every link looked the same no matter what you had made.

In iMessage, videos now play right in the thread instead of showing a still frame. The person you sent it to sees the piece move before they tap anything.

No wall for the person you sent it to

Before, someone who wasn't logged in hit a wall. They could look at your work, and that was the end of it.

Now anyone can remix what you shared, logged in or not.

If they do decide to sign in, they land back on the page they came from with the link intact. Signing in used to drop them somewhere else and lose the link, which meant explaining over messages how to find your work again.

Private links work this way too. Send someone a private link and they can remix it, as long as they're logged in.

On your phone

The mobile share page was rebuilt from the ground up:

  • The media sits at the top of the page, where you're already looking.

  • The page has a single scroll now, instead of an inner one fighting an outer one.

  • The action bar stays fixed at the bottom, so it's always in reach.

  • The fullscreen button works, and it sits above the video controls instead of hiding behind them.

Old links still work

Links you shared before this update now open the new page too. Nothing to re-send.

Everything is the shape you made it

Two fixes here, and both come down to getting the shape right.

Your assets now show at their true aspect ratio everywhere in the app. A landscape video was showing up as a tall portrait card in grids, which made a whole shelf of good work look wrong.

And GPT Image 2 at 16:9 now gives you exactly 2048 by 1152. It was quietly handing back a 3:2 image instead, so what you asked for and what you got were different shapes.

See if your prompt fits before you spend the credits

The video generation forms now show you how long your prompt is as you write it.

Runway Gen-4.5 turns down prompts over a certain length. You used to find that out after the credits were already gone. Now you can see it coming and trim the prompt first.

A new way to run things on the visual canvas (Alpha preview)

This was in alpha preview at the time, available to a small group. It's open to everyone now.

The visual canvas got a new run experience. There's a floating composer to write in, attachments you can pull straight from the asset panel, an intro sheet for getting started, and a header that floats above the canvas instead of taking up space.

Also fixed

  • Remixing from the grid could show a black card. It was mistaking an image for a video. Fixed.

  • Remixing a cover overlay keeps the album type. It used to lose it on the way through.

  • The in-app help chat stays connected. It was dropping its connection while you moved around the app.

  • Connecting Visuals to the other tools you use has its own home. Connections and your API keys are separate things in Settings now, and a tool you've connected shows its real name instead of a generic label.
