Trim a clip before you generate

Every video card has a Trim control. Set the exact section you want with a timeline and looping preview, so you are not feeding a model footage it will reject or charge you for.

Trim sits on every video card, on any model.

How to use it

  1. Open the Trim control on the card.

  2. An editor style timeline opens, with a ruler and draggable edges.

  3. Drag the edges to the section you want. The selection loops while you set it, so you hear and see exactly what you picked.

  4. Press Done. The trim is what the run uses.

When to trim

  • Your input is too long for the model. Many models take a short input. A 199 second clip fed to a model that accepts 15 seconds gets refused. Trim to the part that matters.

  • You only need one moment. Feeding a model 2 minutes when you want 4 seconds of it wastes the run and muddies the result.

  • Reference motion. When you are using a clip to carry a motion style, the tighter the reference the more predictable the output.

You will be told before you pay

If an input is too long, Visuals catches it before the run rather than after. The Run button turns off, the card carries an amber badge, and the message names the actual length and the limit. Nothing is spent.
