Share your work: links, shared flows, and roles

Share an asset with a link anyone can open and remix, or share flows, projects, and compositions with viewer, editor, or owner roles.

There are 2 ways to share, depending on what you are sharing.

Share links, for assets

Every asset gets its own share link, with a public or private control in the detail panel.

  • The link preview carries your name and a snippet of the prompt behind the work, rather than a generic card

  • Videos play in the thread in iMessage

  • Anyone can remix what you shared, logged in or not. If they sign in, they land back on the page they came from with the link intact

  • A private link can be remixed by the person you sent it to, as long as they are logged in

  • Links shared before the rebuild open the new page. Nothing needs re-sending

On a phone the share page puts media at the top, scrolls as one page, and keeps the action bar in reach at the bottom.

Sharing flows, projects, and compositions

These are shared with a person, with a role attached:

  • Viewer. Can look, cannot change.

  • Editor. Can work on it.

  • Owner. Full control.

Someone who leaves a shared project ends up with a flow of their own, rather than still editing yours.

The Shared view

One Shared item in the My Library sidebar, next to Favorites, holding:

  • Shared with me. Everything others have shared with you.

  • Shared with others. Things you own and have shared out.

Click Shared on its own to see both. It has the same search, filters, cards, and right click menu as the rest of your library, and you can organize anything shared with you into your own folders, collections, and tags. Renaming is off for items you do not own.

A small people badge marks every shared item wherever it appears.

Shared covers flows, projects, and compositions. Assets use public share links.

Sharing a folder

Share a folder or collection and the person sees the folders inside it, not one flat pile. Videos shared with you play on hover.
