Catalog sits in the My Library sidebar and organizes everything around music rather than files. It has 3 views.
Songs
Every track you have uploaded. Open a song and you see it alongside every visual linked to it, in 2 lanes:
Official. Finished visuals that are going out.
Working. Versions still in progress.
So the approved Canvas loop and the 4 alternates you did not pick sit on the same page, clearly separated. This is the view to open when someone asks what exists for a track.
There is also a list view showing a play button, the song's code, its length, and how many assets are linked to it.
Albums
Your releases. An album groups its songs, so you can open a release and see its tracks and everything made for them.
Official assets
Everything across the whole catalog marked official, in one place. Open this when someone asks what is approved and going out.
Getting music in
Drag music files straight into Catalog to upload them. WAV is supported, and music, audio, and video files can be up to 2GB.
Linking a visual to a song
Link an asset to a song from its detail panel, or link several at once from the bulk bar in My Library. Once linked, the asset shows up on that song's page and you can filter your library by release or artist.
A workflow that keeps this clean
Upload the song to Catalog first.
Link everything you generate for it as you go, not at the end.
Use statuses: draft, in review, approved.
Mark the final pick official, so the Official lane stays true.
