Compose Video and Render: finish a video on the canvas

Assemble your clips into a finished video without leaving the visual canvas. Per clip timings, fill styles, text overlays, all 7 aspect ratios, and where the render goes.

Two cards turn a set of clips into a finished video: Compose Video and Render. Between them you can build the whole thing without leaving the canvas.

Compose Video

Connect your clips into a Compose Video card and it assembles the cut.

  • Live preview in the card. Watch the cut as you build it, with real thumbnails for each piece.

  • Per clip timings. Decide how long each piece stays on screen.

  • Fill styles. One short video can cover a whole song, instead of running out partway through.

  • Text overlays. Put words over the video.

  • All 7 aspect ratios.

Everything is set on the card. No bouncing to another screen.

Render

The Render card turns that cut into a finished video file. When it is done:

  • The video is saved to My Library, tagged MP4 or ProRes

  • It comes back on the canvas as something you can keep building with

  • While it works you see a Rendering card with live status

ProRes files are large master files that browsers cannot play, so in your library they show a preview image and a download button rather than a broken player.

Let the Agent do it

The Agent knows both cards. It can set them up and reorder them itself. Try: "put these in this order and make it fit the track."

Compose on the canvas or edit on a timeline?

  • Compose Video card: fastest when the clips are already on your canvas and the cut is simple. Stays in one place.

  • Video editor: when you need frame level control, captions with their own styles, voiceovers, or a long edit. What you build there is a composition.

Both end in a render that lands in My Library.
