Exporting and downloading your work

MP4 vs ProRes, where downloads live, how ZIPs work and their limits, downloading a whole flow's output, and what to do when a big file will not come down.

Two export formats

  • MP4 (H.264). The standard export. Plays everywhere, small files, right for social and for sending to people.

  • Apple ProRes. A professional master, higher fidelity, made for editing in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Available on Pro and Enterprise plans.

ProRes files are large and browsers cannot play them, so in your library they show a preview image and a download button instead of a broken player.

Where exports go

Every exported video lands in My Library as a real asset, tagged MP4 or ProRes. While it works you see a Rendering card with live status, and the Renders view refreshes on its own while anything is in progress.

Exports made before this shipped are not in the library.

A finished export will not show up when you are picking a video to generate from. It is a final master, not a starting point.

Where Download lives

  • Right click a card for Download, on one card or a whole selection

  • The multi-select pill has a Download button beside Run and Add to chat

  • Download all assets ships one ZIP rather than a burst of separate files

  • A card holding more than one result offers a choice: this result, or all of them as a ZIP

  • Download all inside a preview zips exactly what is on screen, uploads included

  • Right click a flow, project, or composition in My Library to download every output it produced as one ZIP

ZIP limits

  • A ZIP holds up to 200 assets

  • Any single file over roughly 256MB downloads on its own alongside the ZIP rather than going inside it

Both are announced rather than quietly handing you a broken archive.

If a download does not work

  1. Check your browser is not blocking it. Every download button saves the file rather than opening it in a tab.

  2. Very large ProRes masters download one at a time. If you selected many, try the big one on its own.

  3. If a 4K clip comes down at 1080p, that is a known limit being fixed. The full resolution file exists.

  4. Still stuck? Send us the asset and what you clicked, through the chat bubble in the app.

File names

Exported file names keep accents and non-English characters.
